Overview
IRBlaster normally uses an IR emitter to send IR codes to other devices. Some devices support IR input/output via a cable.
Example: I used something like a RadioShack 42-2387 http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102949
Generally 3.5 mm (1/8") miniplug cables are used. The connections are designed for mono cables but stereo cables should work too.
Compatible Devices
Connection Type | Manufacturer | Model | Comp? | Reporter | Notes |
3.5 mm miniplug | Yamaha | RX-V995a | Yes | ||
3.5 mm miniplug | Marantz | SR8400 | Yes | Mark Lanctot |
Use "FLASHER IN" plug. Do not use the "RC-5" plug if you have to learn the IR codes, see here. The "RC-5" plug will require a 3.5 mm miniplug mono to RCA adapter cable. |
