Beating Copy protection

Once you know which type of DRM / Copy Protection is being used to protect your media, you need to work-around the protection.

Providing details for each method is (far) beyond the scope of this Wiki however Google-is-your-friend here. Use the scanners in the previous section to determine the type of DRM and then search google to find out how to overcome the DRM. Also the following tools are known to be useful in overcoming DRM:

Windows (XP/2000):

EAC (Exact Audio Copy)

+ Can beat several types of copy protection+ Freeware- Difficult to setup- Slow at ripping

+ Can beat several types of copy protection- Shareware- Primarily designed for DVD not CD

AnyDVD can emulate several types of copy protection to allow you to rip your CD normally.
