Mail plugin

Overview

This plugin for SqueezeCenter which enhances the Information Screen plugin with support for showing information about new e-mail in your POP3 or IMAP mailbox.

Please note that you will need both the Information Screen plugin installed in Squeezebox Server and the Information Screen applet installed on the Squeezebox Touch, Radio or Controller.

Installation

PLEASE NOTE, the current version of Mail is only available as a beta version

You will need Erland's testing repository configured in Plugins tab: http://erlandplugins.googlecode.com/svn/repository/trunk/testing.xml

1. Make sure you have installed Information Screen plugin
2. It should support POP3 and IMAP out of the box, but if you like to use the SSL protocols you will need to install the Net::SSLeay module manually.
3. Remove any previous version of Mail plugin from the SqueezeCenter Plugins directory if you have manually installed it earlier (this is not needed if you have installed it through Plugins tab)
4. Goto SqueezeCenter Settings/Plugins and select to install MythTV. You might need to add Erland's repository to see it, see here for more information regarding this: SqueezeCenter_Repositories. If you don't want to install it through Extension Downloader, you can also download it from the download page and manually unzip the new version in the SqueezeCenter Plugins directory
